"This trio is a wonderful collaboration of 3 accomplished musicians who have, after years of playing together, developed into a very cohesive group that is able to take you on a wonderful musical journey. Their latest CD (Days Of Infinity) is a joy to listen to."

Billy Drummond

"The Christian Pabst Trio creates sounds that give you something to think about, and something that you can feel. The perfect combination."

Dr. Gabriel Alegría

"A remarkable pianist who knows the tradition as well as his own music"

Jury Dutch Jazz Competition (Hein van de Geyn, Eric Alexander, Jasper Blom)

The „Christian Pabst Trio“ is a melting pot of ideas: Lyrical and intense original compositions with depth, earthy grooves and open soundscapes. The musicians succeed in combining the well-known with the exceptional and novel, resulting in an utterly individual sound world. At their concerts, they impress with spellbinding improvisations and spinetingling energy.

The young jazz musicians from the South-West of Germany are an old team: Christian Pabst (p), David Andres (b) and Andreas Klein (drs) have been working together for the past 9 years in various formations, from trio up to big band. They have concerted in whole Europe as well as gaining prizes at international competitions such as the International Hoeilaart Jazz Competition in Belgium 2007 and “Biberacher Jazzpreis” 2008 or the “Amersfoort Jazz Talent Award 2009”. Being praised by the press for their “congenial interplay” and their compositional skills, they are currently studying at the renowned conservatories of music in Amsterdam, Cologne and New York City.

The band has been recording their debut CD “Days Of Infinity” (featuring Gerard Presencer on trumpet) in 2010 and is going to present it in a CD release tour in early summer 2011 in Europe and the United States.

“This trio goes far beyond the material ... the CPT won gloriously the Amersfoort Jazz Talent Award. They play intense and subtle together, present themselves naturally and loose and play with depth.”
